[The eighth wonder of the world !]


The gigantic statues of 8-10 metres formed from stones as big as the fist of a hand, located on the top of Mount Nemrut which is 2150m high from sea level near Kahta town of Adiyaman, are so magnificent to inspire everybody’s admiration.It was made by Antiochos, King of Kommagene who reigned between 69-36 B.C. This mausoleum and magnificent statues which also take place among the World culture heritage, are described in some sources as the eighth wonder of the world, the highest open air museum of the world, the highest tumulus of the world, the closest statues to the sun, the best place to watch sun rise and sunset.
