Many shopping centers in cities and tourist regions are open until late hours of night especially in summer.

Some official directorates on the coast of Aegean Sea and the Mediterranean may shift their working hours to respectively calmer hours of the day and may arrange them to keep some offices closed in the afternoon.

State offices are closed on religious and national holidays. On the eve of the religious holidays, state offices are open until midday. However, shops and shopping centers are generally closed only on the first day of religious holidays.

Small post offices to be found everywhere (PTT) provide service within the working hours of the state offices. Central post offices are open between 08:00-24:00 on six days of the week and between 09:00:19:00 on Sundays.
