Goksu Delta

This is an area formed from fresh water and salted water lakes and swamps in Silifke town, Icel. This region gained important bird area status with the species which are under extinction threat on worldwide scale such as Pygmy Cormorant and Dalmatian pelican, marbled duck which breeds in this region (known largest population in Turkey-50 couples) and Ferruginous Duck, Spotted Eagle which lives in winter and Imperial Eagle. In addition to this, large numbers of Little Bittern, Night Heron, Squacco Heron, Purple Heron, Black Francolin, Purple Gallinule, Stone Curlew, Collered Pratincole, Kentish Plover, Spur-winged Plover and Little Tern breed in the region. While large numbers of waterfowls including Greylag Goose, Wigeon, teal, shoveler and coot live in this region in winter, many glossy Ibis and White Stork stop in this area during migration.

Aydincik Islands

These are rocky islands located in Aydincik town of Icel. This region gained important bird area status with Audouin's Gull population.
