[Veni, Vidi, Vici !]

VENI, VIDI, VICI

It is said that Julius Caesar, who defeated the Persian “invincible” army, after a five hour bloody tough war at Zile in 47 B.C., declared his success to the world with his words “VENI, VIDI, VICI” which mean “I CAME, I SAW, I CONQUERED” written on a column he erected. Today at Zile Castle, there is a stone on which these words are written.
